Myrmidon Networks is growing rapidly and is actively seeking candidates with strong experience in the areas listed below. Please note that we will only consider candidates with substantive real world experience. Candidates with large enterprise backgrounds are strongly preferred.

Please note: due to the sensitive nature of some of our work, we only hire US citizens and absolutely cannot employ H1B consultants. If you're not a US citizen, don't waste our time. We're serious: No US citizenship = no job for you. Likewise, if you cannot pass a security clearance background investigation, don't bother applying since we can't hire you. Save the politically correct whining for someone who cares. 

We have NO entry level positions and are unlikely to have any junior level openings in the foreseeable future. Don't bother us if this is ostensibly going to be your  first job after graduation. We prefer our consultants to be embittered by years of dealing with difficult bureaucracies. We eat idealists for breakfast (yumm.....)

All positions are consultant positions - you will provide consulting expertise to our customers. You will be expected to conduct yourself appropriately and look the part (when on site, at least - after all these people are paying big bucks for us...). This means shirts with collars, pants, shoes without holes and a reasonable level of bodily emissions. Applicants that use soap and water on a semi-regular basis are definitely preferred.

We have a growing European business, so fluency in a second language, a valid passport, and no outstanding felony warrants are all a huge plus. (We're not kidding about the warrants - ask us about the trip to Russia during the interview....)

Security Architects 
We need seasoned security personnel with 6 years+ experience in as many of the following technologies as possible:

• MS Windows NT/2000/XP/Net/whatever the hell Bill is calling it this week
• MS BackOffice (especially IIS - this POS is paying our  mortgages. Thank you Bill!!) 
• Linux (Red Hat preferred) 
• Solaris 2.7, 2.8, and 2.9 (ES10K exp a plus)
• AIX 4.3 and 5L (any mainframe or AS/400 experience is a plus)
• Standard internet apps (bind, sendmail, apache, etc) . If you don't know these apps by now, don't bother us
• Intrusion detection systems (commercial and/or open source)
• Firewall/VPN (again, commercial and/or open source)
• Auditing/penetration tools (you know which ones....) 
• Cisco routers and switches (BGP experience a plus) 
• Scripting/programming experience is Mandatory! (perl, VBScript, or JavaScript at a minimum; some C/C++ preferred)
• Trusted OS experience a HUGE plus.

We are looking for people that enjoy a challenge, can think quickly and perform well under pressure. Experience in configuration management for large environments is greatly desired. Scripting experience and general versatility are both mandatory.

Web Developers  
We need experienced English speaking developers with 4 years+ experience in any of the following technologies and US CITIZENSHIP. No H1Bs, no offshore development, no kidding.

• Java 2EE (especially with BEA Weblogic and IBM Websphere; Allaire JRun a plus)) 
• MS Visual Basic 
• Active Server Pages under IIS4/IIS5 
• CGI under Apache using perl 
• DHTML and XML/XSLT 
• Any VBNet/ASPnet experience

We need candidates well versed in full life cycle development, with a very strong background in 24x7 development practices and methodologies. Please remember we are building large scale applications and need people who can write small, tight code. Reliability, scalability and security are emphasized over "state of the art" code.
